Flores Komodo Amazing Tour 13 days

Picked up at the Airport in Maumere. Drive to Bukit Nilo hill to enjoy the best view over Maumere town and the Flores Sea. Next, visit the local market of Maumere and the Wuring fishing village. Pangabatang snorkeling tour starts with a 1, 5 hours’ drive to Nangahale pier, a small pier that is located 40 Km. to the east of Maumere town, then continue with a wooden boat crossing the sea approximately 1, 5 hours to Pangabatang Island. This museum is part of the St. Paulus Roman Catholic University of Ledalero. A collection of cultural tools from the Paleolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic, and the Bronze Age are placed in this museum. This museum was established in 1965 by Pr. Dr. Theodor Lambertus Verhoeven SVD (born in Uden, Nederland, in September 14, 1907). After visiting the museum, then, continue to Moni with a stop at the awesome white sand Koka beach. Lunch at a local restaurant nearby. Arrive in Moni in the late afternoon. Check out from the hotel in the early morning at 03:30 am. The car will take you approximately 1, 5 hours to the parking lot of Kelimutu. Then, walk up the stairs approximately 30 minutes to reach the viewpoint, where you will enjoy the spectacular sunrise over the summit of mount Keli Manuria, also the scenic view over the three Kelimutu crater lakes and the surrounding mountains. Stop in Soa hot spring and enjoy a joyful bath in the natural thermal hot spring. From Soa, the trip continues to Bena village. This is an ancient village with a unique formation of the standing stones and mini houses in the center of the yard. They are dedicated to the ancestor of the clans. Check out from the hotel after breakfast and depart to Ruteng town. Enjoy a long journey on a small and winding road with the wonderful panorama. This small town is located at southern tip of East Manggarai Regency. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant in Borong. After lunch, the trip will continue to Ranamese Lake. The tranquil lake is situated in eastern slope of Mandosawu mountain range. It is surrounded by dark green forest. It offers a possibility to walk around by following the small path. Check out from the hotel after breakfast. Your journey starts with the visit of Golo Cara Hill to see the unique rice fields that look like spider web. This is one of the most recommended places to visit in Flores. From Golo Cara, then continue your trip to Denge village. It takes approximately 3, 5 hours through the small villages and green fields. Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant in Denge village before continuing to Waelomba, to the starting point of hiking to Waerebo. The trek takes time approximately 2, 5 hours up and down the steep hill through the rain forest. Arrive in Waerebo in the late afternoon, then enter Mbaru Niang the house of the tribal chief for a welcoming ritual. The ritual is meant to ensure that your presence at the village is for a visit only. It is also a symbolic action to ensure that you are welcomed to enter the village, which results in a peaceful mind during staying at the village. People of Waerebo strongly respect the spirit of their ancestors, the spirit of all villagers who have passed away, and the spirit of nature where they live. That is why the ritual is very important to gain the balance of mind and spirit for both visitors and the villagers. Your trip from Waelomba to Labuan Bajo takes time almost 3 hours with a stop for a visit at Cunca Wulang waterfall. This pretty waterfall is situated in the deep rainforest of west Manggarai and located approximately 30 minutes by car to the east from Labuan Bajo, only 3 Km. away from the main road Labuan Bajo-Ruteng. From the parking lot, it needs a little effort to walk through the jungle and across two rivers. If there is no rain at and around the place, thus the water of the river can be so clear with a light green color. However we cannot feel satisfied with this charming waterfall without jumping into the river for swimming. Return to Labuan Bajo. Check in at your hotel.

Picked up from the airport in Labuan Bajo and transfer by car to the pier of Labuan Bajo approximately 10 minutes. Then, cross the sea to Manjarite for snorkeling. This place offers fascinating coral reefs and a lot of colorful coral fishes. Continue to Rinca, the second largest Island in Komodo national park.  Upon arrival, visit the ranger station for registration. Meet your assigned ranger who will be a guide for your trekking. Return to the boat and crossing to Kalong Island, a tiny mangrove Island that is inhabited by thousands of fruit bats. Before the nightfall, the fruit bats leave the Mangrove Island for Flores mainland, where they search for fruits. That is the moment of highlight at Kalong Island before having dinner on the boat. Back to the pier of Rinca for overnight.

Cross the sea in a wooden boat approximately 15 minutes, then walk through the forest to the cave where you will soak in clear water inside the cave.
