Day: Bali-Maumere Flight (-/L /D)

Flores Komodo Sumba Explore Tour starts with a domestic flight from Bali to Maumere. Picked up upon arrival at the Airport in Maumere, then start your journey of the day with visiting Bukit Nilo, a place of prayer for the Roman Catholic adherents. A tall Mother Merry statue stands on the hilltop overlooking the Flores Sea and Maumere town. Enjoy the serenity of the lovely place with the scenic view of the surrounding area. Next, proceed to Maumere town. Visit the local market and the Wuring fishing village. You can try the local fruits and learn about the livelihood of the local people of Maumere. Day 2: Snorkeling Trip to Pangabatang Island (B/L/D)

At the second day your Flores Komodo Sumba Explore Tour takes you to Pangabatang Island for the snorkeling tour. First, it goes by car approximately 1, 5 hours to Nangahale pier, continue by traditional boat to Pangabatang Island for another 1, 5 hours. Pangabatang offer a gorgeous hard-and soft coral reef with plenty of marine animals such as sea turtle, groupers, whale shark, big tuna, bumpheads, barracuda and more. The visibility is good. After snorkeling, you can take a walk along the pristine white sand beach meanwhile enjoy the scenic view of the Island and the surrounding sea. In the afternoon return to your hotel. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 3: Maumere – Moni (B/L/D)

The tour starts at 08:30 am. It goes to the southwest to visit the Bikon Blewut museum. In this museum you will discover a collection of cultural tools from the Paleolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic, and the Bronze Age. Then, continue to the southwest passing through the small villages, green fields along the mountainous area of Sikka regency. Stop for lunch at Paga beach. Continue to the west through the coastal landscape from Paga to Lelu with a stop at Koka beach. It is one of the famous beaches in Flores. Next enjoy a long way to the north passing through small villages and green fields with the scenic highland mountains. Arrive in Moni in the late afternoon. Check in in Moni Eco lodge hotel.

Day 4: Moni - Kelimutu - Riung (B/L/D)

Check out from the hotel in the early morning at 03:30 amthen, drive to the parking lot of Kelimutu approximately 1, 5 hours, followed by hiking to the peak of Kelimutu through walking up the stairs. 30 minutes later arrive at the viewpoint of Kelimutu, where you will enjoy the sunrise and the picturesque view of the three crater lakes.  After that enjoy a long journey through the scenic highland of central Flores. In the late afternoon arrive in Riung. Check in in Pondok SVD.

Day 5: Riung – Rutong Island - Riung (B/L/D)

Today your Flores Komodo Sumba Explore Tour will take you to Rutong Island. After breakfast, walk 5 minutes to the pier of Riung, then continue by boat to Rutong Island, one of the 17 Islands of the Riung Marine Park. On the way to Rutong, stop for a visit to Mangrove Forest to see the big fruit bats. Continue to Rutong Island. This place offers a fascinating coral reef landscape, a home to plenty of marine animals. After snorkeling, enjoy a barbeque lunch at the beach. Day 6: Riung - Bajawa (B/L/D)

Picked up in the hotel after breakfast, then enjoy a long journey approximately 3 hours through the small villages and green fields of the mountainous area of central Flores. Stop in Soa and enjoy a relaxing bath in the hot spring, it benefits for skin care, health and well-being. After that visit Bena, a megalithic village with a wonderful view over the summit of Inerie volcano and the Sawu Sea. Bena is located 19 Km. to the south from Bajawa town. In the afternoon check in at the booked hotel in Bajawa.

Day 7: Bajawa – Ruteng (B/L/D)

Picked up from the hotel at 08:30 am, then set out to the west to central Manggarai regency passing through small villages, green fields and rainforest. Stop in Aimere to see the traditional production of the local alcohol what most people drink in Indonesia. Lunch will be served in Borong, a small town and the capital of the East Manggarai regency. After that continue to Ruteng town with a stop for a visit to Ranamese Mountain Lake, a charming lake that is surrounded by a huge rainforest. You can walk around, but don’t forget to take a raincoat with you. Next, direct to Ruteng town. Check in at the booked hotel there.

Day 8: Ruteng – Denge – Waerebo (B/L/D)

Picked up from the hotel after breakfast and set out to Waerebo mountain village through the scenic highland of central Manggarai. It takes approximately 3, 5 hours with a stop in Golo Cara to see the local rice fields that look like a spider web. Then, continue to Denge, a coastal village with a wonderful view over the sea and the Mules Isle in the south. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant in Denge. After lunch, then proceed to Waelomba. Next, hike to Waerebo. The trek takes time approximately 2, 5 hours up and down the steep hill through the rain forest. Arrive in Waerebo in the late afternoon, then enter Mbaru Niang the house of the tribal chief for a welcoming ritual. The ritual is meant to ensure that your presence at the village is for a visit only. It is also a symbolic action to ensure that you are welcomed to enter the village, which results in a peaceful mind during staying at the village. People of Waerebo strongly respect the spirit of their ancestors, the spirit of all villagers who have passed away, and the spirit of nature where they live. That is why the ritual is very important to gain the balance of mind and spirit for both visitors and the villagers. Besides the ritual, you will also learn to know the concepts of the unique architectural design of Mbaru Niang, the traditional house of the tribal. That is very interesting to know. Day 9: Waerebo – Labuan Bajo (B/L/D)

At daybreak, get out to the yard and feel the fresh morning air while waiting for the sunrise. This is the best time to enjoy the last moment of your Warebo visit tour. After breakfast, say goodbye to the people of the village. Back to Waelomba, then enjoy 3, 5 hours journey to Labuan Bajo through the scenic view of west Manggarai highland. Stop in Pota Wangka for a visit to Cunca Wulang waterfall. This pretty waterfall is situated in the deep rainforest of west Manggarai. It needs a little effort to reach the place. Walk through the forest and cross two rivers. It is a wonderful place; however, we cannot feel satisfied with this charming waterfall without jumping into the river for swimming. Check in and depart for Denpasar-Bali. Continue the flight to Tambolaka West Sumba. Picked up by your assigned tour guide upon arrival at Tambolaka airport West Sumba and then transfer to the booked hotel in Waikabubak, the capital of west Sumba regency.

Day 13: Waikuri – Ratenggaro – Bwanna Beach (B/L/-)

Your tour starts with swimming a lagoon that located at seashore. The lagoon is circled by the rocky cliffs. This is a wonderful place for swimming and refreshing the body. Next, visit the Ratenggaro traditional village that situated at the seashore in Kodi region -West Sumba. The village has 4 high roofed traditional houses which belongs to the most secret traditional villages in Indonesia. Continue to Bwanna beach for relaxing and swimming. Your journey starts with visiting Lalopu, the highest waterfall in Sumba (90 m). The impressive waterfall is located in Manupeu Tanah Daru National Park. Continue to Karewei beach for swimming and relaxing. This beautiful place is also a paradise for the surfers, due to its high waves. From Kerewei the tour continues to Waebela beach, a beautiful beach with its smooth and white sand. Enjoy the serenity at the beach. In the afternoon continue to east Sumba. Day 15: Bukit Tanarara – Purukambera – Bukit Warinding (B/L/-)

Then, continue to Puru Kambera hill, another amazing hill that is located at the north coast of east Sumba. You can enjoy the scenic view over the Sawu Sea from the viewpoint of that hill. From Puru Kambera, it continues to the southwest to Puncak Warinding Hill. Amazing hill which is all covered by the savanna. Day 16: Waimarang Waterfall– Rende Village – Walakiri Beach (B/L/-)

After breakfast meet your tour guide at the hotel lobby. Start with visiting the Wai Marang waterfall. Enjoy a long journey from Waingapu to southeast approximately 2 hours thorough the north coast with delightful view of Sawu Sea and the green hills. This awesome waterfall offers a small lagoon where you can enjoy swimming at the fall. Next, visit the Rende traditional village that situated at the northeast coast of Waingapu. This ancient village is the last residence of the king Rindi. In the center of the village, there is a megalithic stone grave with the big stones that curved in form of a coffin. They are used as a grave for the corpse of the King and his family. In the afternoon visit the Walakiri beach. Enjoy your time at the white sand beach while waiting for the sunset. Then, back to the hotel.
