Ijen Crater Hiking Tour 2 days

Picked up at your hotel in Bali at 17:00 pm. Then, set out to Gilimanuk, the west Bali harbor. It takes time approximately 3. 5 hours through the coastal landscape of southwest Bali. After that, together with your car crossing the Bali strait with a ferry to Ketapang east Java harbor. It takes approximately 1 to 1. 5 hours depending on the schedule of the ferry. Upon arrival in Ketapang, you have time to find a restaurant for dinner (on your own expense) before heading to Paltuding. After dinner enjoy a 1. 5 hours’ drive until you arrive in Paltuding, a parking lot at the slope of mount Ijen. There are some stands around the parking area, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea before hiking. If you would love to see the blue flame, you should start the trip at 15:00 pm from Bali, otherwise you can start at 17:00 pm. Hiking to the mountain crater takes time approximately 2 hours. Along the way up to the mountain peak, you will meet with some local people carrying two baskets of heavy mineral stones through their shoulder. They struggle for survive through this extremely hard job. Due to the cold weather at the mountain peak, please don’t forget to take a jacket with you.

After enjoying the wonderful view of the crater and the surrounding area during the sunrise, then walk down back to the parking lot at Paltuding. Then continue by car back to Ketapang harbor east Java and cross the sea to Gilimanuk Westbali harbor with ferry. From Gilimanuk you will enjoy a long journey back to your hotel in south Bali through coastal landscape of southwest Bali. Lunch will be served enrout.
